This week at Minnehaha Park we are hosting the Minneapolis Police Band, a concert band. The Minneapolis Police Band was formed in 1917 to further improve relations between the police department and the community. The band is the oldest continuously-running police band in the United States, and is a treasured local institution. Membership is open to active and retired officers as well as civilian volunteers.
